Beep, beep, oops, what was I doing?
August 13, 2009
“That blasted siren. I can’t focus.” That reaction to undesired distraction may signal a person’s low working-memory capacity, according to a new study.
Based on a study of 84 students divided into four separate experiments, University of Oregon researchers found that students with high memory storage capacity were clearly better able to ignore distractions and stay focused on their assigned tasks.

Polymorphic Perception of the Fourth Dimension State – Distortion of time through our perception.
June 11, 2009
Distortion of time through our perception, the fourth dimension of space, is the area of space that creates our dream state. This reality is polymorphic in nature showing us that perception can be distorted depending on what we are focusing on.
For most people this will be a very difficult subject to grasp for the simple fact that it focuses on a topic that steps outside of our now state of awareness in third dimension to which we call the physical state of awareness. Third dimension is the space we know as the physical body and the state of which we call human existence. In this article, however, I will delve into discussing the next level of dimension state of fourth reality perception. Not only will I attempt to detail it for how it is seen in a perceptional sense but also in a physically constructive manner.

Meditation: Changing the way we focus our attention.
June 2, 2009Suggested by Pocholo Peralta (Plato On-line)
The Dalai Lama’s interest in neuroscience has been reciprocated by at least some members of the neuroscience community. Reasoning that studying the brains of people who meditate might lead to novel insights about the human brain, investigations of long-term meditators has been fertile ground for scientific investigation, with some of the more rigorous work emerging from Richard Davidson’s laboratory at the University of Wisconsin.
When expert meditators practiced focused attention meditation, demonstrable changes were seen using fMRI in the networks of the brain that are known to modulate attention.

Your Perception IS Your Reality
May 12, 2009
Take a minute to scan your surroundings. Are you in a familiar place or somewhere new? Stop reading this, and just look around you. Pick out an object, maybe something you hadn’t noticed before, and focus your attention on it. If you really focus, it’ll get brighter and more “real” than it was when it was just an unnoticed piece of the background noise of your life. Now, try to view your surroundings from the point of the object. Some people can do this with no effort, and for others, it takes some concentration. Depending on how adept you are at focusing your concentration, you may notice a slight shift in your perception – a weird jump in realty, where you are suddenly viewing the world from a different perspective.

What is relevant?
April 23, 2009
Has there ever been a time in your life when you have all of a sudden really wanted to achieve or buy something and then everyone else seems to also want it. It might also be that the thing that you want, whether that is a car or a job or maybe even an experience, you are starting to see it everywhere you go, on billboards, in magazines, people talking about it and it is on the television. Why is it now everywhere, now that you are interested in it, and yet earlier you did not notice it at all?
